Please note: Under the new incorporated CAPRA, credits for meetings can no longer be issued. In order to attend a meeting, payment must be received prior to the meeting registration deadline (either online or by mail). Please be advised that cheques should not be mailed less than a week prior to the meeting. Registrants for whom payment has not been received will be refused entry to the meeting.

Dinner Meeting Title: New Draft PMPRB Guidelines – Impact on Drug Pricing in Canada

Description: Recent updates to the Patented Medicines Regulations, and the issuance of new Draft PMPRB Guidelines represent the biggest change to the regulation of Canadian drug prices in thirty years.   The Regulations mandate consideration of health economics as a factor in determining the allowable price for new medicines, and mandate interaction between CADTH and PMPRB. The Senior Strategic Advisor of Pricing and Market Access from PDCI Market Access will provide an update on how the changes will impact new drugs, and the implications for the regulatory approval process.

Neil Palmer is a Founder of and Senior Strategic Adviser at PDCI Market Access Inc (PDCI), Canada’s leading pricing and reimbursement consultancy. Neil has more that 30 years of pharmaceutical pricing and market access experience.

Prior to PDCI, Neil worked with the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (PMPRB) where his responsibilities included policy development, overseeing the price review of patented medicines and conducting economic research.
