Magdalena Jurkiewicz is a Senior Regulatory Policy and Risk Management Advisor within Health Canada's Consumer and Hazardous Products Safety Directorate (CHPSD). She has been with Health Canada since 2003, where she held various regulatory positions within Health Canada’s portfolio. She holds a Master of Science in Chemistry option of Biochemistry from Université du Québec à Montréal and a Bachelor of Science from McGill University in Montréal.

Nibal joined Health Canada's Consumer and Hazardous Products Safety Directorate (CHPSD) in 2011 and is currently Acting Head of the Cosmetics Unit. Prior to this she worked as a Senior Regulatory Policy and Risk Management Advisor with the cosmetics unit. In 2022 Nibal worked as a Senior policy advisor with the Strategic Policy division supporting the drafting of legislative amendments to ban cosmetic animal testing. She holds a B.Sc. in Biopharmaceutical Sciences with a Specialization in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Ottawa.
